Elizabeth Warren to Speak at Kennedy Library Forum
Posted by jcashmanBOSTON (AP) — Democratic Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren is planning to appear at a forum at the John F. Kennedy library in Boston.
The Harvard Law School professor will discuss her experiences as an assistant to President Barack Obama and special advisor for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The library says it extended an invitation to Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown to appear in a separate forum with a similar format. Brown appeared at the library last year after his book was published.
Brown last month declined an invitation to a debate sponsored by the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate and the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
Brown had sought a promise from Kennedy’s widow, Victoria Kennedy, that she would not make an endorsement in the Senate race, a request the debate sponsors called “inappropriate.”
